Things to consider when buying an Air Ratchet Wrench.
What is the torque and RPM rating of the Air impact Wrench?
You need to decide how much torque you will need out of your
ratchet wrench. Mini Air Ratchet
Wrenches have lower torque output but are good in confined spaces while a full
size wrench will have more power but you sacrifice size. RPM (Revolutions per Minute) will determine
the speed of the Air Ratchet Wrench.
While this may be important to you if you are an impatient person, the
tool will only work for you if it has enough torque to do the jobs that you do
most often.
Does the Air Ratchet Wrench have a variable speed trigger
control?
You will need to be able to control the speed of the wrench
when you are using it for many applications.
While most of the Air Ratchet Wrenches have variable speed control there
are still some cheap ones out there that may not.
What is the air consumption of the wrench (CFM)?
The Air Ratchet Wrench will have a CFM rating and you want
to make sure that the compressor you have will provide enough air for the wrench. If your compressor cannot keep up with the
tool you will not get the full torque out of it.
What other design features does it have?
There are a few other things you might consider. Does the tool have a nonslip grip? Does it vent out of the back to keep air of
your working area? Does it have baffles to make it quite to
operate?
