Click the following link to learn about buying an Air Hammer.
Some things to consider when buying an Air Hammer: How many blows per minute is the Air Hammer rates and at what PSI? Blows per minute (Beats per Minute) describes the number of hits the Air Hammer cycles per minute. The lower the BPMs the Air Hammer has the harder it impacts the chisel (Lower BPM results in more impact or cutting power). Higher BPM gives you less power but may be better for situations like shaping items where power is not your top priority. How much air does it take to drive the Air Hammer (air consumption)? This is how much air the Air Hammer uses per minute at 90 psi of air (90 PSI is used as an industry standard in most cases). It is important that your compressor can output at least this amount of CFM at 90 psi, or the Air Hammer will not work at its maximum power rating. What is the air pressure rating of the Air Hammer? Most Air Hammers require 90 pounds per square inch (PSI) to operate at their maximum power. Check the specific Air Hammer you are looking at to confirm its operating rating. Your compressor will need to be able to provide the PSI rating for the Air Hammer to operate at its maximum power Does the Air Hammer have a variable speed trigger system? Having an Air Hammer with a trigger system that has variable speed capability gives you greater control of your tool. Some tasks require being able to control your tool with precision. Don’t forget to use Safety Glasses when using an Air Hammer. In business since 2004 with thousands of satisfied customers |
